Creating a DMZ for a web server in ESXi 5

Hi all,

I am running vSphere 5 and I have a few vSwitches with several guests on my LAN. Each ESXi box has 12 physical NICS. If I create a new vSwitch and connect it to one of my physical NICS and then connect that physical NIC to external physical switch that accesses my DMZ, would that be a good way to set up the DMZ from a virtual perspective?

To clarify and describe the environment a little better, the external physical switch that I made reference to above is the same switch that the physical web server is now using.

Setting it up in this way, is it possible for any of the other VM's on seperate vSwitches to access this web server, given the above?
