Hi folks,
Bit of a low priority one here - I was looking over processor stats for the processors we use (Intel 2690), and was reminded of the turbo boost technology that Intel introduced a few generations ago. This got me thinking about how vCloud assigns CPU resource.
The processors have a clock speed of 2.9, but they turbo to 3.8 - a significant difference. As we assign CPU resource based on ghz, how does vCloud work with this? Is the turbo effectively pointless? It would obviously make quite a big impact if we could allocate an additional 0.9ghz per core (especially given that there's 16 cores in each box).
Does anyone know how this works?
Cheers,
Russ
