At VMworld 2016 we released some new demo videos for the VMware Validated Design for Software-Defined Data Center. These videos provide a tour of the the components as deployed in the SDDC design.
Core Platform
The VMware Validated Design for SDDC is a blueprint for the private cloud that results in an SDDC that is consistent, thoroughly documented, extensively tested from end-to-end, and continuously validated to incorporate new releases of software components. In this video, we will demonstrate some of the core platform components of a private cloud based on this design.
Software-Defined Storage
In this video, we will demonstrate the configuration of VMware Virtual SAN for use in this design.
Software-Defined Networking
VMware NSX reproduces the complete set of Layer 2 through 7 networking services in software. This includes: switching, routing, access control, firewall and load balancing. In this video, we will demonstrate the configuration of VMware NSX for use in this design. This demo focuses primarily on the configuration in management stack.
Cloud Operations with vRealize Operations
Once an SDDC has been deployed, its ongoing performance and health must be continually monitored, and administrators must be notified any time problems develop, or capacity constraints are reached. In this video, we will review the deployment and configuration of vRealize Operations in this design.
Cloud Operations with vRealize Log Insight
VMware vRealize Log Insight provides centralized log aggregation and log analytics. It increases the operational visibility, facilitates troubleshooting and root cause analysis in the SDDC. In this video, we will review the configuration of vRealize Log Insight, based on this comprehensive SDDC architecture.
Cloud Management and Automation with vRealize Automation
VMware vRealize Automation provides the Service Catalog and self-service portal for the Software-Defined Data Center. In this video, we will review the deployment and configuration of vRealize Automation based on this comprehensive SDDC architecture.
