VMware Workstation 11 Windows 8.1 Professional Glitch

Hello, VMware Community. I've recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 Pro and would like to point out a glitch. Many have already reported it, even in previous VMware versions. The problem is specific to Windows 8 and 10. Anyway, what happens is any virtual machine will cause an error: "Could not get VMCI driver version: the handle is invalid." This error is unresolvable with the recommended action of reinstalling the program. However, it CAN be fixed by editing the .vmx file and changing the value of "vmci0.present" to "false". The previous bug reports were dated, which leads me to believe that VMware is not planning to produce a patch. Can VMware fix this? Many of its users have Windows 8 or 8.1, so it's inconvenient to have to change the settings so often.
