I am running Workstaion 7.1.4 on a Slackware 13.1 host. The hardware is a Thinkpad T60 with the intel abg wireless NIC.
My guest is Windows XP with Service Pack 3.
The virtual networking is set up as a bridged network and when the wireless network first comes up everything works fine.
If the wireless NIC deassociates from the network access point, the bridged network comes down. When the NIC reassociates the bridged netowrk comes up and immediately goes down again. The only way I have found to resolve this is to run vmware-netcfg and do a save without actually changing anything. The whole virtual network is then restarted and everything now is OK. This behaviour is different from that seen with Workstation 6. Has anyone else seen this?? Does anyone have a work-around or fix that could be run from a script (as opposed to bringing up the netcfg gui interface).
cheers
