Hi,
I have a VM using 2 virtual disks. The disks have a capacity of 20 and 100GB. In the VM the usage of the first is about 11GB and of the second about 25GB (shown by Windows XP explorer). The space allocated on the host is 19 and 65GB. How does this come? I expected the space on the host near to the 'real' usage in the VM but it isn't. Even when compacting the disks there is no difference.
Why does VM use so much space for the disks? How can I get a smaller 'footprint' (usage of space) on the host? The capacity of the disks have to have this size.
