Cannot access VM from outside host

I'm having an odd problem. From any machine outside the VMware Workstation host, I cannot access (ssh, http, etc) any of the VMs.

the VM's however, get DHCP addresses and a tcpdump on the interface from within the VM sees the traffic.

Host: Oracle X3-2 (aka Sun 4170M2) running Oracle Linux 6.4, single ethernet connection on eth0, gets dhcp address of x.x.x.175, iptables off, selinux off

VM1: Oracle linux 5.8, single network connection, gets dhcp address x.x.x.170, iptables off, selinux off

VM2: Oracle linux 5.8, single network connection, gets dhcp address x.x.x.172, iptables off, selinux off

Laptop: OS X 5.8, gets dhcp address x.x.x.232

From the laptop I can ping/ssh the host. Ping to VMs works. Ssh/http times out. Packets are seen via 'tcpdump eth0 port 80'

From the host, I can ping, ssh, http connect to the VMs

Clues?

Thanks,

Bob
