VM Crashes Host with Vagrant Setup

I'm running:

VM Workstation Pro 14 (licensed)

Vagrant 2.0.1 (licensed)

Vagrant VM Ware Plugin (licensed)

Windows 7 Pro (with Powershell 3.0)

PhpStorm 2017.3.2

When i run vagrant up, the correct machine downloads but when VMware tries to start up the VM, the host computer crashes - even the mouse does not move nor does the windows clock continue to work.

Debug log says:

"Starting process: ["C:\\Program Files (x86)\\VMWare\\VM Workstation/vmrun.exe:, "start", ....]

INFO subprocess: Command not in installer, restoring original environment

DEBUG: Selection on IO

And then nothing.... I'm forced to do a hard reset.
