Is it ok to to ignore this warning message?

Configure SQL Server remote connections to use both TCP/IP and named pipes. This can be done using Microsoft SQL Surface Area Configuration Tool, by selecting the database instance and navigating to Database Engines | Remote Connections Options.

I'm using SQL 2008 r2 locally installed on vCenter Server 5.1
